Ski Boot Sizing
Choosing your ski boots
If you're an expert snowboarder, chances are you already know what size board you want. For those beginners who don't, this buyers guide will help. It explains in some detail each component of a snowboard and will help you choose the perfect snowboard for you.
Ski Boots are sized in Mondopoint (Mondo)
Mondo size is the length of your foot (from heel to big toe) in centimetres. Mondopint is calculated by measuring the length of your foot. Although you can use a size chart to determine your Mondo size, it is always best to measure your foot for a more precise fit.
How to measure your foot:
- Be dressed in the socks you'll be skiing in.
- Stand against a wall with your heels against the wall
- Place a mark (tape or a book works) on the floor to measure the length of the larger foot.
- Measure the foot the big toe in centimeterss to one decimal point. This is your Mondo boot size. You can double check your Mondo size against your shoe size on the chart below.
Junior Boots
For kids with growing feet, it is possible to size up slightly for novice skiers. However, for more experienced juniors, this will affect performance.
Additionally, most ski boots, the full size uses the same outer shell and liner as the half size (ie. 26 and 26.5).
